Good Bye Prince of Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim

A sense of lost and sadness beyond comprehension swept through as Malaysia received news of the passing on of Johor’s “People’s Prince” on 5 Dec Saturday at 7.11pm. There was a sense of somberness on various social media platforms as messages of condolences were posted up.


Here’s a snippet biography on Prince of Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim. 

Early Life

Born on 5 July 1990 to Sultan Ibrahim and Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah as a fourth child.

A graduate in Zoology studies in Zoology studies from a university in the UK





Zoo-keeper in Singapore Zoo for about a year and London Zoo for two years.


First member of the Johor Royal household to serve in the police force after completing his police training for nine months.


Being commissioned as the police inspector, he held the post of the Royal Chief of Staff of the Johor Palace in October this year.

Prince of Johor Tunku Abdul Jalil Ibni Sultan Ibrahim has earned the endearing title of “People’s Prince” as Johoreans respected and loved him for his friendly demeanor and his giving personality.

The Sultan of Johor has set up the Tunku Laksamana Cancer Foundation to assist cancer patients in the country in memory of the “People’s Prince”

It’s a tedious battle with cancer and we salute to all cancer patients.
